Day 6: Subtleties

Find a palette of a single color, hue or tint and study the intricacies just begging to be discovered and framed by your lens.

I knew what I was going to do immediately - my blue glass bottles (and other bits) that live in the kitchen window. I actually found it pretty relaxing to know what I was going to do for this all day. I didn't actually have time to get to the clicking until after the girls were in bed, but once I did it came together pretty quickly. I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

Day 6: Subtleties

Today's shoot did require some creativity. My tripod can't do vertical shots, so I had to attach my Gorilla Pod onto it to get that angle. I also created a small white 'drop sheet' to put under the items I was photographing so I could get a bit more light. It's fun to come up with creative solutions to these problems I run in to.

NOTE: For some reason the pictures I'm putting in these posts are not showing up very crisply. They look much better in Flickr, so if you want a clearer or bigger picture just click on the picture in the blog post and it will take you right there.
