Passing It On

Fourteen years ago, my mom taught me to cross-stitch. I was 26 when I learned this consuming hobby. Well, Eowyn expressed an interest in learning to stitch and I jumped on it. We ordered a bunch of "kids kits" from my favourite stitching site, and we started the night they arrived. She has really taken to it, and seems to enjoy it.

Learning to Cross-Stitch

She is still learning some of the nuances, but the piece she is working on is for a friend and has all the basic elements - full stitches, half-stitches, and back stitching. She is struggling with tucking in her threads before and after she starts a colour, but we are dealing with it. I'm happy that she is enjoying it - it's something we can do together.
