So James and I leave on our trip to Turkey in six days (but who is counting), and I am missing the girls already. I'm sure that in the next couple of days they will push my buttons and fight with each other, but in the mean time I will get all the snuggles and cuddles I can.
We started talking about this trip and planning it about two years ago, and I'm not sure where the time has disappeared to! For those who don't know, here is our plan for the trip to Turkey:
- We arrive in Antalya, Turkey on Friday afternoon, and will spend the next week hiking and enjoying the Lycian Way - a trail system like our Bruce Trail that follows the Mediterranean coast.
- Saturday morning (Sept 29th) we fly up to Istanbul, where we will spend the next 5 days wandering around absorbing some history and culture. We fly back home on Thursday, October 4th.
While we are gone, the girls will be spending time with their three fantastic sets of grandparents. This trip would not be possible without their help - and we appreciate it more than words can say, but hopefully souvenirs will help with that. :)
James and I are going to try to post some updates and photos from the trip here, but we aren't taking a laptop with us so will be relying on my phone for any photos that do get posted. Don't worry - we are taking a real camera too.
